Before you start
You need admin access to your Thera workspace.
Have the contractor's new rate and effective date ready.
Scheduled updates can be canceled at any time before the effective date.
Step 1: Go to the contractor profile
From the top navigation, click Payroll >Team.
Scroll through the contractor list and click on the contractor whose rate you want to update.
This takes you to the contractor's profile, where you'll see their overview, Contract, and payment history.Select the contract
Step 2: Edit rate and enter new details
From the Contract Page:
Click More, then select Edit Pay from the dropdown. This opens the Edit Rate panel.
In the panel:
Choose Update Now to apply the change immediately, or Schedule Update to apply it on a future date.
Enter the New Rate (USD).
Set the Effective Date in MM/DD/YYYY format. For scheduled updates, this must be a future date.
Optionally add a Note to record the reason for the change (e.g. annual review, renegotiated contract, performance increase).
Confirm the First payment after the scheduled date
Click Schedule in the top right to save.
Step 3: Review and manage the scheduled change
Once saved, a confirmation banner appears at the top of the contractor's profile summarizing the change.
The contractor's current rate stays in effect until the scheduled date. On the effective date, the new rate automatically applies to all future payments.
To cancel a scheduled change, click Cancel Update on the banner before the effective date. The scheduled update will be removed, and the contractor's rate will remain at its current amount.
Only 1 schedule is allowed at a time. Another schedule update can be created only after the current one is effective.
