Adding a Payment Method to Thera

This article will help Admins with adding payment methods for authorizing contractor payments.

Your payment method is the bank account Thera pulls funds from to pay your employees and contractors. You'll need to add one before your first payment can be processed.

Add a payment method

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right, then select Payment Methods.

  2. Click Add Method.

  3. Enter the account holder name exactly as it appears on your bank account, then click Continue.

  4. Thera uses Plaid to connect your bank. Enter your phone number, or select Continue without phone number.

  5. Select your bank from the list, or search for it.

  6. Log in through your bank and make sure all permission boxes are checked, then continue.

  7. Select the account you want Thera to pull funds from.

Your payment method will now appear on the Payment Methods page.

To run W2 Payroll, you will need to verify Microdeposit values that will be received 1-2 days after linking your bank account

If your bank isn't listed

Some banks aren't available through Plaid. Reach out to our support team and we'll help you connect your account another way.

Only bank accounts are supported. Credit cards can't be used to fund payments.
