How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Thera Using an Authenticator App

This article is a guide for Contractors and Employees setting up 2FA with any authentication app.

Step 1: Download an Authenticator App

To enable 2FA on Thera, you will need an authenticator app such as:

  • Google Authenticator (Android/iOS)

  • Microsoft Authenticator (Android/iOS)

  • Authy (Android/iOS)

Download and install your preferred authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Log in to Your Thera Account using your email and password here

Step 3: Choose an Authentication Method

  1. Thera provides two options for 2FA. Choose 'Set up using Authenticator App'.

  2. A new screen will appear with a QR code and recovery codes.

Step 4: Copy and Save Recovery Codes

  1. Click Copy and paste them into a secure password manager.

  2. Click Download to save them as a file.

  3. Write them down and store them in a safe place.

Step 5: Scan the QR Code with Your Authenticator App

  1. Open your Authenticator App.

  2. Tap on Add Account or the + icon (depending on the app you are using).

  3. Select Scan a QR Code and use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on Thera.

  4. The app will generate a six-digit verification code linked to your Thera account.

Step 6: Enter the Verification Code

  1. After scanning the QR code, return to Thera.

  2. Enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app into the verification field.

  3. Click Verify.

Step 7: Final Confirmation and Completion

  1. Once your verification code is accepted, Thera will confirm that 2FA is enabled.

  2. You can log out and attempt to log in again to test the 2FA setup.

  3. After entering your email and password, Thera will prompt you for a six-digit code from your authenticator app.

  4. Enter the code and log in successfully.

Congratulations! You have successfully enabled Two-Factor Authentication on Thera, adding an extra layer of security to your account.
